Technician testing a trailer brake circuit in a service workshop

Trailer Technician
Training & Certification

Less guesswork. Stronger technicians.
A more capable shop.

From the first bearing inspection to advanced diagnostics. Build skills with manufacturer-based lessons, real circuit practice, and a clear three-level training path.

Independent training. Manufacturer names identify source materials, not sponsorship or endorsement.

The real cost of guesswork.

A repeatable training process helps your team make better service decisions. No shortcuts. No promises of instant expertise.

01

Give new hires a clear starting point.

Replace scattered instruction with a step-by-step path through safety, inspection, wiring, and routine service. Assign training and see who is ready for the next level.

02

Build the diagnostic habit.

Practice voltage drop, magnet resistance, and circuit faults before working on customer equipment. Train technicians to test the cause, not just replace the part.

03

Know where your team stands.

See verified scores in one skills matrix. Set due dates, spot training gaps, and keep earned certificates connected to each technician’s account.

Start with the basics.
Earn your way to master.

Straight answers.

Can I train on my own, without a shop?+

Yes. Choose individual training when you create your account. You can also join a shop later without starting your learning record again.

Do technicians keep their certificates if they leave a shop?+

Certificates are issued to the technician’s account, not the employer. Each has a public verification link and a one-year expiry date.

Do I need special equipment or an installation?+

No installation is needed. Lessons, assessments, and virtual circuit practice run in a web browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. Virtual practice does not replace supervised work on real equipment.

Is this a NATDA or ASE certification?+

No. TrailerPro Academy issues its own training certificates and is not affiliated with or accredited by NATDA or ASE. It can complement industry workshops and external certification preparation, but does not replace their requirements.

What does a paid plan include?+

Lessons are free to read. Tech Pro and shop plans unlock module quizzes, level finals, certificates, every monthly CEU release, and the AI diagnostic assistant. Shop plans cover 5 or 15 technician seats. Cancel anytime — access continues to the end of the paid period and earned certificates stay valid.

Does passing an exam certify hands-on competence?+

The current certificates verify written assessment results. Foreman practical sign-offs are planned but are not yet available. Follow manufacturer instructions and your shop’s supervision and safety requirements.
